Star-Fangled View
Why is it that, at times, we are drawn to the stupidest things? I don’t think I’ll ever have the answer to that, but recently, I have been absolutely drawn to a really stupid thing: Star Jones. Gosh, I really despise that woman. So, knowing that, I was pleasantly surprised by her recent departure from The View. But, I was even MORE pleasantly surprised by the abrupt dismissal of her sorry ass the next day from the show.
If you know anything about Star Jones, you surely must know she is one of the most self-absorbed women on television. From her dramatic weight loss and her outright denial that the gastric bypass surgery had anything to do with it, to her absolutely insane self promoting wedding to her banker hubby. Anyone who looks for sponsors for a wedding as if it were the Superbowl looking for advertising space, is a little self-absorbed. What pissed me off about her the most were her obviously anti-gay remarks she made on The View, which honestly turned me off to the show from the get-go. She also had this “holier than thou” attitude. And, of course, she always played the victimized “black woman” and how she was the voice of “the people” on the show. (Now honestly, how victimized could a rich corporate lawyer be?).
Anyway, I was happy to see that she was booted off the show. It was about time. I guess she’ll have to resort to schlepping shoes for Payless Shoes (which of course, she would never buy from. I wonder if the geniuses at Payless know that?) I personally think Rosie O’Donnell had a hand in the whole thing, and if she did, THANK YOU. This is one star I’d be happy to see extinguished.
On a lighter and more positive note, I came across a video from MSNBC.com with Keith Olbermann. He has this wonderful habit of making fun of Bill O’Riely. If you know me, you know that I hate, yes, hate, Bill O’Riley. (Almost as much as Ann Coulter…the ultra-conservative she-male.) The man is pure evil and doesn’t have a problem spreading messages of hate. Anyway, check this link out on Keith addressing Bill on his recent remarks. Way to go Keith!<br />
Happy Fourth of July! I thought I would wish you all a little early! Tim and I have plans for absolutely nothing but working on the house this long upcoming weekend! I am taking some pictures of Tim and me this weekend, so I PROMISE to have a pic of him on here soon. Sometimes you have to wait for the good things!

1. I hate Star Jones. I don't even like The View. But I raced to Youtube today to hear her tearful speech. Now if I could just get my hands on the video of Barbara saying, "We canned her ass." I'll be a happy man.
2. Don't forget to hate Rush Limbaugh. I wish that fucker would just OD on oxycontin and viagra.
3. I wish nothing but the worst on Ann Coulter.

I cannot believe how she's handling this situation. Its totally bizarre. Its very clear that everyone else was going to play along with whatever story she wanted to make up to make it look glossy and pretty and then she got all uppity and made herself look like an even bigger bitch than she already is. Someone in a news article put it best that she sorely misjudged her fame and thought that because people know of her that they must like her. She's TV poison now, nowhere for her to go but on The Surreal Life now.

Her new look makes her appear like an Ethiopian with a hair weave. If I were her I wouldn't draw attention to myself. I know she doesn’t have much choice since her mouth keeps running. Now its running in a thinner body. Star, watch out you might just fly away sweetie!

How bizarre. I am captivated by this whole mess, too. I love that they packed up miss Jones' things and told her large ass to keep walking.Arrogant, self centered, pious, and condescending.
Barbara Walters got more respect from me by kicking her to the curb. I love the View. And will be able to enjoy it so much more with out Star's loud ass talking over everyone else.
